Geotechnical Engineers undertake the vital tasks of evaluating the behavior of soil and rock when subjected to structural pressures, designing robust structural foundations, analyzing the statical properties of diverse structures, and rigorously testing construction materials for durability.
They also contribute significantly to the planning and development of transportation systems, ensuring the resilience of infrastructure in the face of environmental and geological challenges while simultaneously estimating and meticulously monitoring construction costs for a wide array of civil engineering projects, ranging from dams, bridges, pipelines, gas and water supply schemes, sewerage systems, roads, to airports and other essential structures.
